San Francisco Goes Sci-Fi (Photos).

I’ve never gone through a nuclear winter, but I have to imagine anyone who spent last Wednesday in San Francisco felt as if they were in one. I awoke to a dull, florescent yellow seeping through my blinds and filling my bedroom; I gasped and stumbled to the window. Over the next hour, I watched as the sky drifted darker and darker, as the morning grew later but the world grew stiller and more saturated in a heavy, ominous haze. By the time I grabbed my Nikon and headed to Dolores Park, the sky above me was almost bloody.

(The remainder of the day was spent with a close girlfriend, ordering in food and snuggling on her couch and indulging in a few afternoon glasses of wine. What else can one do when the apocalypse has arrived?)
